About the group
A manufacturer
that became a group.
We did not start as a holding company and add brands to it. We started on a factory floor and grew outward, which is why the manufacturing, the brands and the accountability all sit in the same place.
Background
From one factory floor to nine brands.
Sleep Collective began where every mattress begins, on a factory floor in Australia. Thirty five years of building beds locally taught us something the industry generally avoids saying out loud: there is no single best mattress. There is only the right construction for a particular customer, at a particular price, through a particular channel.
So instead of stretching one brand across the whole market, we built a portfolio. Chiropedic for health led support. Yinahla for premium Australian craftsmanship. Sanctum Sleep for premium handcrafted comfort, including selected international collections. Sleep Firm for the firm specialist. Eco Kids for children. Sleep Republic and House of Sleep for online and trial led retail. Mattress Factory Direct for factory pricing. And Commercial Mattress for wholesale and contract supply.
Today the group operates physical retail, online direct-to-consumer brands, a wholesale and trade program and a contract division, most of it fed by our own Australian manufacturing. It means we can quote a single cot mattress and a 300-room accommodation fit-out in the same week, and be serious about both.

and family run.
Sleep Collective is owned and run by the family that started it. The second generation now leads the group day to day, from the same factory floor the business began on 35 years ago.
For a supplier or trade partner, that has a practical upside. The people who set the specification, approve the volume and answer for the outcome are the people whose name is on the business. Decisions do not travel offshore and they do not wait on a board.

We run our own factories in Australia and we control the springs, the foams, the covers and the quality checks. When scale or price sets the brief we lean on our vetted overseas partner of 15+ years, built to our specification and checked to the same standard. Either way the decision, and the accountability, sits with us.

Every mattress in the group is assembled by a team on our own floor, the same people a partner meets on a factory visit. Long tenured, cross trained across constructions, and the reason quality checks happen before product leaves the building rather than after it arrives.
